FORE YOUR MIND

Following a successful pilot by neighbouring county Bedfordshire towards the end of 2024, England Golf have now launched their ‘FORE YOUR MIND’ initiative. The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness of Mental Health by educating golfers and those involved in the golf sector. We are pleased to announce that CAGU and CHWGL have come together and following a successful joint application for an iGolf grant that they will be funding Mental Health awareness training for the golf clubs of Cambridgeshire. We are now seeking a volunteer from each club to train in all aspects of Mental Health (MH), with the view to becoming a MH Champion for their club. The aim is for the volunteers to be the focal point at each of their clubs and to be trained to support and sign post those seeking help to an appropriate organisation. Our programme will be Championed by Mental Health Ambassadors, Steve Whitney and his wife Fiona.
